The Internet is the biggest promotional market in the entire world because it can reach the vast majority in the shortest time possible. Promotion is how musicians are discovered and catapulted to fame. For the not so computer savvy, here are some tips on how to use one of the biggest social networks on the World Wide Web:

1. Signup – on your Web browser go to www.myspace.com and click on music on the navigation bar. Click on the artist signup and fill out the required fields.
2. Upload photos – upload photos where each member of your band can be clearly identified.
3. Invite friends – MySpace will give you the option to invite your friends and their friends. The more the better.
4. Songs – upload some of your songs to give users a taste of your music.
5. Enter your band profile and you are ready to perform to an international audience.
