Mixing vintage rock and pop with moody guitars, Glasvegas is one band you should watch out for this 2008. Alan Mcgee, an indie music mogul, also credited for his discovery of a young band 15 years ago, called Oasis. Mcgee is convinced, at the same time, excited that he finally finds yet another promising group. Glasvegas, according to him, is the best Scottish band in 20 years. Daddy’s Gone, their first single released, ranked 2nd best track, announcing it as an exciting debut single since Arctic Monkey. Glasvegas has a rockabilly and pop music influence. Nothing overdone. It has a minimalist rhythmic approach and its very simple. But leaves a lot of room for other things.
